  • Piedmont Brokerage (future TAG) founded Archdale, NC

 

1989

  • Begin building sales organization for Group Benefits Sales business

 

1990

  • Explosive growth of commercial clients and sales becoming recognized local market leader
  • Begin selling Med-Supp policies

 

1991 - 1995

  • Become largest Voluntary Dental Ins. Producer in US
  • Begin nine year run of 30% plus annual revenue growth
  • Recognize uncertain future of health marketplace

 

1996

  • Form final expense division
  • Begin structured lead program

 

1997 - 1999

  • Ramp up Final Expense sales from $1 to $7 million
  • Land largest group account 1,000+ employees
  • Start lead mailing company

 

2000

  • Obtain National TV Commercial Contract
  • Largest producer for United American
  • Move into new office facility
  • TAG name introduced
  • Write $9 million in life premium

 

2001 - 2003

  • Establish Med Supp/LTC division
  • Expanded sales distribution regionally
  • Set new sales record $20 million in life premium

 

2004

  • Group Division named Platinum Producer by UnitedHealthCare
  • 1st in industry to market VISA debit card to 10 million un-banked seniors
  • Enroll 10,000 MA members in 1st 6 months

 

2005 - 2008

  • Exponential growth accumulating record premium of over $2 Billion in total carrier revenue!
  • Over 500,000 total enrollments

 

2008

  • TAG launches two new divisions - Annuities and Property & Casualty

 

2009

  • Launch New Generation Health Plans first private label major medical product
  • Merge with Insuranti and APGagency further expanding sales force by over 2,500 agents and life/health sales distribution nationally
